Piece Out Cake Shop is a certified and licensed, direct to consumer, Cottage Food Operation in sunny Richmond, California. Piece Out was established in March, 2023 by me, middle school science teacher turned baker Jessica Nack. I aim to serve my local community and the greater East Bay by providing splendid flavor combinations using the best ingredients. My baking reflects my values— support local whenever possible, be sustainably minded with materials, buy organic, and keep the sweetness levels just right!

Severe Allergy Warning: My kitchen equipment comes into contact with wheat, dairy, eggs, and nuts. Through all equipment is sanitized between uses, my gluten-free and dairy-free products do not have their own dedicated equipment, and therefore I cannot accommodate severe allergies.

I have certain decoration guidelines that I follow— Fresh flowers (food safe) are my fav, and I will use what is in season. I will only do designs that I feel confident about, to ensure the best result. I do not use artificial food dyes, only natural, plant-based powders. I do not work with fondant, figurines, theme, or do sculpted cakes
